EAM: In Talks with Ukraine’s Neighbour to Accommodate Indian Medical Students

With thousands of Indian medical students returning to India from Ukraine, External Affairs Minister Mr. S Jaishankar shared that MEA is in talks with the neighboring countries of Ukraine to accommodate Indian Medical students. He stated that the Hungarian Foreign Minister visited India recently and told him that almost 1,250 Indian students have applied for admission to his country. He shared that the Hungarian Government has assured that they will accommodate as many Indian Students as possible.

In a program with PM Modi, Jaishankar released the benefits of PM CARES schemes for children. The scheme is designed for orphaned children who lost their parents or guardians to Covid 19. He also added that the demand for new passports has increased after the decline in infection cases, and the department is working to avoid delays in the issuance of passports.
